Country Girl
So I had a interesting experience this weekend. I was a country girl. I went to visit my friend Vanessa who lives in a small town. Actually, she told me it's not a town at all. Where her house is actually is not part of any town, because it's out in the country. I still don't grasp the concept of not being part of any city or "town" or even "village." Very strange.
But I had a great time! I got to go on this art tour, where all these people had art in their homes around the county, so I got to see some interesting pottery work, photography, soaps, glass art, etc. It was a very artisitic experience.
For those of you who read my last blog, you'll also know I took a salsa class this weekend. Well that was sure interesting. I think I would do it again, MAYBE, but it was a lot of foot work and as complicated as it was, I'm sure it would get even more complicated.
I also went to a chinese buffet, which I call the "Mini-Mandarin" because it's the same idea as the Mandarin, even the same food almost, but much smaller. Vanessa was saying it's almost better because you're limited to your choices and don't have to decide what to eat, like you do at the Mandarin.
I tried Bruchetti bread, banana protein shake and chicken this weekend. The chicken was awesome! I don't know how Vanessa's mom did it, but it was amazing, and I would definitely have it again.
So it was a good weekend, and now I'm back in full force at school, realizing I have a heck of a lot of work to do, with reading textbooks, planning Bible study, reading articles, starting homework, finishing assignments due this week. Gah! Oh well, a weekend away has it's downfall I guess. You get to come back to a pile of work you should have done earlier.
C'est la vie! I still had fun!
